Shonita Joshi
About me
Hello there! My name is Shonita (show-nee-ta) Joshi (joe-she) or if it’s easier, शोनिता जोशी.
I was born and raised in Pune, India (proud Puneri). I received my under-graduate degree in Banking and Finance and completed my master’s in journalism. After working for two years for Google, I realized that my love for acting wasn’t a mere hobby but a necessity. So I moved to the city of dreams, Mumbai, where I worked in the Indian Film Industry lovingly called Bollywood.
To continue honing my craft and to learn about American theatre, I decided to move to New York City to study at the Stella Adler School of Acting. I became an American citizen in January 2025 (please ask me the story the next time we connect) and after living and working in many cities and continents, I am lucky to call New York my home.
I am passionate about politics and organizing; I deeply care for animal-welfare and the environment. I am also a certified Dog Trainer and have completed two levels in horse-riding (yeehaw!).
I don’t know how to conclude this, so it might just be easier to click around. Thank you for visiting muh website.
